The latest Visitor Satisfaction and Activity Survey shows Hawai‘i's continued reputation as a safe and secure destination. High Visitor Satisfaction: Over 95% of visitors rated Hawai‘i as meeting or exceeding expectations, with the majority expressing a strong likelihood of recommending the destination to others.
Geographic Satisfaction Levels: Satisfaction levels varied by region, with visitors from the U.S. East and Canada leading at 89.6% rating their trips as "excellent," followed by visitors from the U.S. West, Korea and Japan.
Safety and Security: Over 90% of visitors rated Hawai‘i as "excellent" or "above average" in safety and security.
Return Intentions: A significant portion of surveyed visitors expressed a strong likelihood of returning to Hawai‘i within the next five years, with the U.S. West showing the highest intent at 82.6%.
Barriers to Return: High vacation costs remained the primary barrier cited by all surveyed markets for returning to Hawai‘i in the future.
